Lets get right to it. There are a few good plays today. The Monarch starts it off with the New York Yankees (C.C. Sabathia) @ Minnesota Twins. Liking Detroit Tigers (J. Verlander) vs Kansas City Royals and last but not least Florida (J. Johnson) @ San Francisco Giants.

New York Yankees -128 @ Minnesota Twins

C.C. Sabathia coming of a terrible start looks to rebound against the Minnesota Twins in this game between possible Major League Baseball playoff teams. Sabathia has been dominate his last four starts vs the Twins going 4-0 with a 1.24 ERA. Look for Sabathia to thwart the Minnesota Twins offense and the New York Yankees to give him enough support.

Detroit Tigers -197 vs Kansas City Royals

Justin Verlander at home is virtually unhittable posting a 4-0 record with an ERA of 1.11 in six starts. In 12 starts against the Royals J.Verlander is 8-1 with an ERA of 2.21. The Tigers coming off a bullpen blown game last night look to bounce back and improve on their 23-12 home ballpark record. The Monarch doesn't normally like prices this high but every now and again a game is to hard to pass up.

Florida -132 @ San Francisco Giants

The Florida Marlins will send Josh Johnson to the mound to take on the Barry Zito led San Francisco Giants. I love Josh Johnson in this game. Coming off one of the worst starts of his career look for him to breeze through this paper thin lineup. Of course The Monarch is concerned with the status of baseball stud SS Hanley Ramirez. Word on the street is he is going to play.
